Besides my research, I am involved in projects aimed at a better world. I volunteer at two non-profit science-related organizations:
- TReND in Africa: I was a teaching and organising assistant of TReND CaMinA comp neuro & ML courses that took place in Kigali/Rwanda (2024) and in Accra/Ghana (2023). I also prepared material for and taught in a python course for African students in 2022. Currently, I am helping out for TReND CaMinA 2025 which will be held in Lusaka/Zambia.
- Neuromatch Academy: I am part of the organization team of Neuromatch Academy courses for comp. neuro and machine learning. At NMA 2023 I was the executive chair leading the Instruction department and dealt with Teaching Assistant (TA) related issues such as TA selections, training, support before and during the course. As of 2025, I am co-chairing the Instruction department.
